Founded in 1640, Greenwich, known as the Gateway to New England, is within an hour of New York City and major airports. Nearly 50 square miles, with a population of 62,000, it includes the community neighborhoods of Banksville, Byram, Cos Cob, Glenville, Old Greenwich, and Riverside (The Communities Of Greenwich, CT), as well as the areas of Central and North Greenwich.
